  The Education Development Committee will convene its annual orientation for the chapter’s three youth educational programs. 

  • DELTA Carousel is our signature educational enrichment program which serves both males and females from grades K-12. DELTA is the acronym for Development, Education, Leadership, Talent and Achievement.
    
  • Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy is a female-targeted program aimed at supporting middle school girls ages 11-14 as they develop. 
  • Dr. Jeanne L. Noble Delta GEMS (Growing and Empowering Myself Successfully) is a female-targeted program aimed at supporting high school girls as they navigate life’s challenges through experiences in non-traditional careers.

  All of our programs are designed to strengthen the educational and cultural experiences of the participants.  We have an exciting year planned 2010-11, and we look forward to partnering with the community, families, and our Delta members as they serve as volunteers, mentors, and leaders to support the positive development of youth. All programs are open to Wake County youth and families only. We invite you and your child(ren) to our orientation program on Sunday, September 12, 2010 as we share schedules and planned program activities for the year. The orientation program will be held from 3 pm - 5 pm at the Garner Road Family YMCA, 2235 Garner Road Raleigh, North Carolina 27610.
  
  A reception with light refreshments will follow the orientation. Please invite other interested parents and youth residing in Wake County to attend. 
  
  Applications for participation will be available at the orientation as well as on our chapter website: www.dst-raleigh-alumnae.org/. All youth must be accompanied by a responsible family member/adult to complete applications and participate in orientation informational sessions.

  The Economic Development Committee of the Raleigh Alumnae Chapter (RAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is proud to announce the launch of the RAC Entrepreneurship Institute.  Workshops will be offered each month for sorors prior to our chapter meetings.  These sessions are also free and open to the public.
